Start small + work your way up
If you want to know how to moisturize your face, start with a fingertip-sized amount and apply more moisturizer if you feel it sinks in before you have covered all areas. If you start off with too much, your moisturizer can build up on your skin rather than sinking into it. For your body you can use a little more, especially for dry skin areas like hands, feet, elbows and knees.
And don’t forget – oily, blemish prone skin needs moisture, too. When skin is dehydrated, it can produce more sebum to overcompensate for this lack of moisture, which can then lead to oiliness and shine. Just make sure the lotion you use is fast-absorbing and non-greasy.
