Dove research shows that 1 in 2 girls who quit sports are criticized for their body type. We are on a mission to shift focus onto the joy and confidence that keeps girls in the game while working to combat the increasing self-esteem pressures they face.
The Body Confident Sport program is the first-ever evidence-based tool proven to build body confidence in girls ages 11-17, empowering coaches, caregivers, and mentors to help girls stay in the game.
The program launched in 2023 and was co-developed by Dove and Nike with leading experts including CAR and the Tucker Center. The program is clinically proven to strengthen body confidence and reduce appearance pressures in sport environments.
The Dove Self-Esteem Project is the largest provider of body confidence and self-esteem education globally, having reached over 137M young people across 150+ countries through no-cost, academically validated education. The Dove Self-Esteem project is committed to reaching 250 million young people by 2030.
